Braille and Literacy:

• Seedlings is great site to purchase braille books! You can even sign up to receive two FREE books through the Book Angel Project.
• National Braille Press is another great site to purchase braille books. You can join their Children's Braille Book Club, where you have the option of purchasing a braille book every month!
• The Braille Institute offers a special program in which children ages 3- 18 can order up to 12 books a year, free of charge. 
• National Library Service allows you to download books, music scores, and magazines from their database.
• American Action Fund provides visually impaired students a FREE book every month! Just fill out the application form! 
• BrailleInk offers both braille and print books. 
• The Braille Bookstore has braille books and other products (such as braille flashcards, dice, and dictionaries) available. 
• National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS) provides FREE braille and audio books to individuals with visual impairments.

iTunes:

One really neat thing that iTunes can do, is turn text or an article into an audio file! By doing this, the iTunes file can then be downloaded to your students iPod or iPad so that they can have this to listen to either at home or in school. Just think of what can be done with current events articles, review sheets, or even key vocabulary words!
